The Norwegian Foreign Ministry advise against travels to the northern provinces of Iraq (Erbil, Suleimania and Duhok) that are not strictly necessary . Travels to the remaining parts of Iraq is not advisable and Norwegian citizens staying in these parts are encouraged to leave the country. Norwegians citizens either staying in Iraq or planning on travelling to Iraq are encouraged to contact the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Amman for updated information and registration.
