Not only is it the first time that a Norwegian film has received an award at the prestigious Sundance Festival, but the film “Sykt Lykkelig” also won the international competition at Robert Redford’s famous film festival. A total of 14 films competed in the international competition, whereas the Norwegian film was the only Nordic representative.
Director Anne Sewitsky received the reward, and jury member Susanne Bier stated: “It is a film where we can identify with the characters very different from our own lives.”
